Luc Fauteux started his company in 1975. With a corner of his basement as an office and a warehouse in a rented garage, he started looking for building cladding contracts. After a few months, unable to keep up with the ever-increasing demand, he formed a team of installers to whom he passed on the know-how and customer approach that had already made his reputation.

The company expanded steadily and quickly moved to premises better suited to the volume of its business.

Over the years Le Groupe Luc Fauteux inc. expands its product range. In 1982, the company began its commercial section, offering glazing and metal cladding. In 1988, the residential section was expanded with Florida Plus, Solarium 3 saisons, Solarium 3 saisons plus and Solarium 4 saisons offered at its 10 branches across Quebec:
